Update: Sec 301 Phase 2 Additional EU Tariffs

On Dec 12, 2019, Federal Register Notice Vol. 84 No. 239 was published.

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) requests comments with respect to whether products listed in Annex I should be removed from the list or remain on the list; whether the rate of additional duty on specific products should be increased up to a level of 100 percent; whether additional duties should be imposed on specific products listed in Annex II; and on the rate of additional duty to be applied to products drawn from Annex II.

To be assured of consideration, submit your comments by January 13, 2020.

25% additional tariff has already been imposed to certain commodities from EU (Annex I) effective October 18, 2019.

As you can see, Annex II listed more agricultural products such as cheese, meats, and seafood (Salmon and Trout Fillets) products. It is important that you submit your comments to be assured of consideration.
