Commercial Invoice Requirement

We have recently been experiencing some issues with entries where the manufacturer of the product is different than the seller of the product. The manufacturer was not stated on the commercial invoice and therefore not transmitted to Customs and FDA.  This confusion has caused delays in getting shipments released through both FDA and Customs and Border Protection.

In order to ensure your shipments move through the government release process as quickly and easily as possible, we ask that you instruct your shippers to include the actual manufacturer’s or processor’s name, complete address and FDA registration number (for FDA regulated goods) on the commercial invoice.
