Effective August 23, 2018: 2nd Round of Additional Duties From China
The second tranche of additional tariffs under Section 301 follows the first tranche of tariffs imposed on approximately $34 billion of imports from China which went into effect on July 6.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection will begin collecting additional duties on imports from China on August 23, 2018.

Last month, additional tariffs proposed on $200 billion worth of goods imported from China at a 10 percent rate was announced by U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). The increase could now be 25 percent instead of 10 percent and would apply to 6,031 tariff lines from China including seafood and produce. Deadline to submit written comments and post-hearing rebuttal comments is now September 6, 2018.
