Revocation of GSP Eligibility for Thailand-sourced goods slated for April 25, 2020

The U.S. Trade Representative is scheduled to revoke Generalized System of Preferences (“GSP”) eligibility for about one-third of otherwise eligible goods from Thailand, starting on April 25, 2020. We wanted to alert you to the likelihood of this Administration action now. The planned revocation is in response to USTR determinations that Thailand fails to provide internationally recognized worker rights in certain respects which was announced on October 25, 2019.

Beginning on April 25, products entered via these tariff lines will no longer receive duty free treatment.
